Biology of the main freshwater and euryaline fish specie, Breeding techniques in captivity for restocking. Knowledge acquired: basic knowledge of hydrobiology and ichthyology required for the fish fauna management plans
Competence acquired (at the end of the course):
Knowledge of aquatic biocoenosis and of factors that affect their composition; knowledge of biology of the main freshwater and euryaline species; criteria to be followed for fish cultivation for restocking; study methods of fish populations; theoretical bases of fish fauna management plans; specific rules.
Skills acquired (at the end of the course):
Identification of the main species; evaluation of biological quality of waters; design of fish farms for restocking; management of the investigations requested for the ichthyological master plans; writing of fish fauna management plans.
