Course Content
Management and improvement of agriculture, forestry and wetlands. Population dynamics. Management of populations. Censuses and estimates. Plans of consolidation and reduction. Management of carnivores. Management of pheasant, partridge, red partridge, coturnice. Management of deer, fallow deer, red deer, chamois, mouflon, wild boar and Tetraonidi forest. Management of wetland birds. Management of migratory birds.

Course program
Features, functions and value of agricultural areas, forest and wetlands. Environmental factors of resistance to wildlife in rural areas. New forestry management guidelines.
(Re) population of rural areas and forestry: spread of eco-sustainable practices and new exploitation forms. Environmental improvements: cultural rotations, cultural associations, crops for the game, restore and/or increase in crop diversity, hedges and edging; land use for wildlife.
Wildlife Management: Carnivores (Wolf, Bear, Lynx), Ungulates (roe deer, fallow deer, chamois, mouflon, wild boar), hare, wild rabbit, birds of agricultural systems (Phasianidae) and forest systems (Tetraonidae). Management of migration.
Wildlife (re)introduction and recovery. Censuses and estimates. Wildlife movement. Withdrawal of a hunting: plans of consolidation and keeping. Wetland wildlife management: Ramsar Convention. Natural and artificial Wetlands. Wetland vegetation. Dune systems. Lagoons. Bird populations management: lawn birds or marginal swamp birds. Reed Birds. Shorebirds. Birds of the shallow water. Diving birds. Other birds. Main wetland amphibian, reptiles and mammals species.
Interior wetlands management: renaturalisation, maintenance of ponds and reed beds, anthropogenic use. Coastal wetlands management: coastal erosion defense; anthropic disorder prevention; maintaining of natural conditions of salinity.

Animal welfare: definition and evaluation of animal welfare.
